The average weight of a team horse is 850kg. The average life span for a Clydesdale is 25-30 years.

All the harnesses are handcrafted leather. Up to three sides of top quality hide are used to make each set. This can take two months to complete.

The Harness is fully adjustable to ensure a comfortable and correct fit. Each horse retains his own collar, so the collar moulds to its neck and shoulders.

It takes 45cm of steel to make each Clydesdale shoe. The horses are shod every five to six weeks.

Each shoe is shaped to each foot, prior to being fitted.
